  • Handle property and casualty losses and claims up to $15,000 through examination of documents, records, and loss reports.
  • Evaluate insurance policies, claims forms, and carrier instructions to determine coverage.
  • Interview, telephone, and correspond with claimants and witnesses; consult police and hospital records and physical-damage estimates.
  • Estimate repair/replacement costs, negotiate settlements per carrier instructions, issue checks, and handle salvage/subrogation.
  • Requires Bachelor's degree preferred; appropriate state adjuster license; IIA-AIC designation within 12-18 months; 3 years related experience.
  • Empathetic claims demeanor, strong communication/analytical skills, PC literacy (Microsoft Office), and negotiation skills.
