Patient Billing Representative

- Support patients with payment processing, billing education, insurance verification, and claims-related inquiries.
- Accurately process patient payments via phone per financial responsibility policies; create, update, and maintain payment plans.
- Interpret and explain claim notes, balances, and billing outcomes to patients in plain language.
- Verify, audit, and update insurance information in the EMR; resubmit pending or corrected claims.
- Educate patients on billing concepts including coordination of benefits, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and claim denials.
- Research account history to resolve billing concerns; recommend solutions aligned with policies.
- Requires customer service or call center experience; healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience strongly preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Full-time (40 hrs), Mon-Fri 8am-5pm CST, about 2 weeks paid training; benefits eligible after 60 days; background check required.
